The Machine Tool Engineering Foundation (hereinafter the “Foundation”) promotes the protection of personal information based on: setting forth a personal information protection policy as follows, building systems for personal information protection, and having all employees thoroughly recognize the importance of, and carry out personal information protection.
Management of Personal Information
In order to retain personal information in an accurate and up-to-date state, and prevent unauthorized access, loss, breakage, tampering, leakage, etc. with regard to personal information, the Foundation shall take the necessary measures, carry out safety measures, and strictly manage personal information, and this shall include maintaining security systems, improving management systems, and thoroughly educating employees.
Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The Foundation shall use personal information that it has received for the sending of e-mails and documents in order to establish contact, provide information on operations, and respond to questions.
Prohibition of Disclosure and Provision of Personal Information to a Third Party
The Foundation shall appropriately manage personal information that it has received, and shall not disclose it to a third party, except in cases corresponding to the following.
- Consent to do so has been received.
- The Foundation is disclosing the information to a contractor to which it is entrusting operations so that a desired service can be carried out.
- Disclosing the information is required based on laws and ordinances.
Safety Measures Regarding Personal Information
The Foundation takes all possible security measures in order to ensure the accuracy and safety of personal information.
Allowing People to See Their Personal Information
In the case that a person wishes to refer to, correct, delete, etc. his or her personal information, the Foundation shall accommodate this upon confirming the person’s identity.
Compliance with Laws, Ordinances, and Rules, and Policy Revisions
The Foundation shall observe the laws and ordinances of Japan and other rules that are applicable to the personal information in its possession, and it shall revise the content of this Policy as necessary, and make efforts to improve such content.
